Jingle Bells the Dark Side

To create this arrangement we used an F minor scale

(F Harmonic minor to be specific).

The original uses the major scale which makes it sound so light and happy. Using a minor scale (and chords) gives the tune a sad or sinister sound. You can try this with other tunes as long as you know your scales! And it also works in reverse…

Remember to repeat the section of the melody from video 1 before you play video 3 in both the verse and the chorus.
